CHARTER RESOLUTION NO. CR-01-98

A CHARTER RESOLUTION exempting the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas, from the provisions of K.S.A. 12-1759 which relates to the public building commission.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE UNIFIED GOVERNMENT OF WYANDOTTE COUNTY/KANSAS CITY, KANSAS:

Section 1. The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas by the power vested in it by K.S.A. 19-101b hereby elects to exempt itself and make inapplicable to it the provisions of K.S.A 12-1759 relating to the public building commission.

Section 2. This resolution shall be published once each week for two consecutive weeks in the [City of] Kansas City, Kansas.

Section 3. This a Charter Resolution and shall take effect 61 days after final publication unless a sufficient petition for a referendum is filed and a referendum held on the resolution as provided in K.S.A. 19-101b in which case the resolution shall become effective if approved by a majority of the electors voting thereon.
