§ 911. When mayor shall vote.

  • The mayor shall cast the deciding vote in all matters in which there is a tie vote or where the full commission lacks one vote of reaching the minimum number of votes required to take action, including those matters requiring super-majority approval or governing body approval; provided that in the case of a vote to amend the consolidation study commission plan, in which case eight commissioner votes are required to amend, the mayor shall not vote. In case of a mayor[al] veto, seven affirmative votes shall be required to override.
