§ 923. Request for state of emergency.

The mayor or presiding officer shall have the authority to request a state of emergency whenever such declaration is in the interest of the unified government and essential in connection with the passage of an appropriate ordinance or other action of the commission. Such request shall made in writing and approved by the commission.
