  • (a)

    Life Safety Code adopted. The NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, 2003 edition, and referenced standards and all appendices, dated May 2004, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, Inc., is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference, excepting only such portions as are specifically deleted or amended in this article. If there exists or arises any conflict between the provisions of the Life Safety Code and this Code, then the provisions of this Code are controlling.

    (b)

    Marked copies of code on file. Not less than three copies of the Life Safety Code, adopted by reference in subsection (a) of this section, shall be kept on file in the office of the unified government clerk and shall be marked or stamped "Official Copies as Incorporated by Ordinance No. O-90-04," with all sections or portions thereof intended to be omitted clearly marked to show any such deletion or change, and shall be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours. A copy of this article shall be attached to each copy of the Life Safety Code. The city fire department, municipal judges, and all administrative departments of the united government charged with the enforcement of this article shall be supplied, at the cost of the unified government, such number of official copies of such standard ordinance similarly marked, deleted and changed as may be deemed expedient.
