§ 16-34. Additional conditions of permit.

  • (a)

    All applicants for a permit as required by chapter 8 of the 1999 Kansas Food Code shall pay an initial application fee. The amount of the fee shall be set by the county administrator.

    (b)

    The permit required by chapter 8 of the 1999 Kansas Food Code shall be renewed annually on or before January 1 of each year.

    (c)

    For the permit required by chapter 8 of the 1999 Kansas Food Code, every person operating a retail food store shall pay an annual permit fee in addition to the initial application fee. The amount of the fee shall be set by the county administrator.

    (d)

    Application for the permit required by chapter 8 of the 1999 Kansas Food Code shall be made to the unified government public health department.

    (e)

    For the purpose of this section, the sale or serving of food in the same location less than seven days in any calendar year shall be construed as the occasional sale or serving of food and shall not require a permit.
