§ 17-3. Inspections for health purposes.

  • It shall be the duty of the public health department to enter into and examine all buildings, lots and places of all descriptions for the purpose of ascertaining the conditions thereof, insofar as the public health may be affected thereby, and to give all such directions and orders and adopt all such measures for cleansing and purifying buildings, lots, cisterns, wells and other places and for causing the removal therefrom of nauseous substances producing a disagreeable odor or tending to cause sickness or disease.
