§ 18-22. Members.

The commission on human relations and disabilities issues shall consist of 13 members. The members shall be broadly representative of the religious, racial, ethnic and minority groups, and people with disabilities in the community. The unified government board of commissioners shall appoint 11 members subject to the terms and requirements set forth in this article. In addition, one member shall be appointed by the mayor of the City of Bonner Springs, Kansas, whose term shall coincide with the term of the member appointed by the commissioner-at-large, district 1; and one member shall be appointed by the mayor of the City of Edwardsville, Kansas, whose term shall coincide with the member appointed by the commissioner-at-large, district 2.
