§ 19-109. License for private security business and permit for private security officer required.

  • (a)

    Any person engaging in or operating a private security business in the city shall obtain a city license for such purpose. It shall be unlawful to engage in or operate such a business without first obtaining a license.

    (b)

    Any person engaging in or operating as a private security officer in the city shall obtain a city permit for such purpose. It shall be unlawful to engage in or operate as a private security officer without first obtaining a permit.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful for a private security business to employ a private security officer who does not have a valid city permit.
