§ 1-5. Amendments to Code; effect of new ordinances; amendatory language.

  • All ordinances and resolutions adopted subsequent to this Code that amend, repeal or in any way affect this Code may be numbered in accordance with the numbering system of the Code and printed for inclusion in the Code. Portions of this Code repealed by subsequent ordinances or resolutions may be excluded from this Code by omission from reprinted pages affected thereby. The subsequent ordinances, as numbered and printed, or omitted in the case of repeal, shall be prima facie evidence of such subsequent ordinances until such time that this Code and subsequent ordinances numbered or omitted are readopted as a new Code by the unified government board of commissioners. Whenever a reference is made to this Code as the "Unified Government Code" or to any portion thereof, or to any ordinance or resolution, the reference shall apply to all amendments, corrections, and additions heretofore, now or hereafter made.
