§ 22-2. Smoking in public buildings

No smoking shall be permitted in any area inside any public building of the unified government, including detention facilities. Any person found guilty of smoking in violation of the provisions of K.S.A. 21-4010 and this section is guilty of a misdemeanor in accordance with K.S.A. 21-4012. Employees in violation of this section will be subject to discipline in accordance with unified government personnel policies. The facilities manager is hereby ordered and directed to post, in a conspicuous place, signs clearly stating that smoking is prohibited by state law, as required by K.S.A. 21-4011.
