§ 22-78. Same—Premises destroyed or damaged by fire or natural disaster.

  • (a)

    No person shall enter or go upon any lot, yard, or premises on which there is a structure that has been involved in, destroyed or partially destroyed by a fire or natural disaster without the previous consent of the owner or authorized agent having been obtained. No person shall enter or remain upon such location knowing that he is not authorized or privileged to do so.

    (b)

    No person shall enter or go upon any lot, yard or premises on which there is a structure that has been found to be unfit for human use or habitation and posted as such by the public officer pursuant to chapter 8.

    (c)

    Trespass upon premises destroyed or damaged by fire or natural disaster or posted as unfit for human use or habitation is a class C violation.

    (d)

    This section shall not apply to any persons who have the express authority of the public officer to enter on any lot, yard or premises described in subsections (a) and (b) of this section.
