§ 23-4. Same—Selection.

The judges of the municipal court shall be appointed by the unified government board of commissioners. Except for the initial terms provided in this section, each judge shall be appointed for a term of four years. Upon expiration of the term, a judge may be reappointed for an additional four-year term. There shall be no limit to the number of terms a judge may serve. The term of division 1 shall expire on October 1, 2002, and every four years thereafter. The term of division 2 shall expire on October 1, 2000, and every four years thereafter.
