§ 29-72. Exemptions.

Unless otherwise ordered by regulation of the unified government administrator, the following supplies, services, and construction need not be procured through the purchasing division, but shall nevertheless be procured by the appropriate procuring agency subject to the review of the purchasing director, requirements of this chapter and the regulations promulgated by the unified government administrator:

(1)

Bridge, highway, sewerage or sewerage works or other heavy or specialized construction;

(2)

Works of art for museum and public display;

(3)

Published books, maps, periodicals, and technical pamphlets; and

(4)

Architect, engineer, real estate appraisal and land surveying services.
