§ 2-203. Blanket bond for certain positions.

  • (a)

    All positions of appointive officers and employees of the unified government, except sworn personnel of the police department, shall be bonded in the sum of $100,000.00 or such other amount as the unified government board of commissioners shall determine each in a blanket bond.

    (b)

    The bond provided for in subsection (a) of this section shall be made payable to the unified government and shall be conditioned for the faithful discharge and performance of the respective duties of the different officers and employees assigned to the various positions, and to save the unified government from all loss caused by their neglect of duty or malfeasance in office, and shall contain such other conditions and provisions as may be directed by the statutes of the state or ordinances of the unified government.

    (c)

    All bonds provided for in this section shall be submitted to and approved by the unified government chief counsel.
