There is hereby established an expanded area-wide advisory council on aging to be
appointed by the boards of county commissioners of this county and of Leavenworth
County, Kansas. The board of commissioners of this county shall appoint 12 members,
and the board of county commissioners of Leavenworth County, Kansas, shall appoint
six members, for a total membership on the advisory council of 18 members. Membership
on the first advisory council shall begin on the date fixed by the board of county
commissioners of this county. Members shall be appointed by geographic designation
with consideration given to interest, background and education.
