§ 31-15. Overhanging dead trees and limbs.

  • (a)

    Any dead tree or dead part of a tree that overhangs a public way or private property or that is adjacent to a public way or private property and endangers persons or property shall be deemed a nuisance and detrimental to the health, safety, and welfare of the inhabitants of the city.

    (b)

    It shall be a misdemeanor for any owner or occupant or officer of a corporation that is the owner or occupant of any property to permit or to maintain such a nuisance. Upon conviction thereof, the owner, occupant or officer of a corporation that is the owner or occupant shall be punished as provided in section 1-8.
