§ 35-111. Authority to install traffic-control devices and signals.

  • The traffic engineer may, by regulation, establish and fix the location of such traffic-control devices and signals as may be deemed necessary to guide and warn traffic under the provisions of this chapter, other traffic ordinances and the state laws. The traffic engineer shall place and maintain official traffic-control devices and signals when and as required under the traffic ordinances of this unified government to make effective the provisions of such ordinances, and may place and maintain such additional official traffic-control devices as the traffic engineer may deem necessary to regulate, warn or guide traffic under the traffic ordinances of the unified government.
