§ 35-200. Release procedures after immobilization.

(a)

After the immobilization of any vehicle under the provisions of section 35-197, the vehicle shall be released by removal of the immobilization device upon one of the following:

(1)

During normal business hours, payment of the outstanding parking fines plus court costs and the immobilization device removal fee at the municipal court clerk's office, or posting a bond at the detention unit of the police department in the amount of the outstanding parking fines plus court costs plus the immobilization device removal fee.

(2)

After normal business hours, by posting a bond at the detention unit of the police department in the amount of the outstanding parking fines plus court costs plus the immobilization device removal fee.

(b)

A hearing to contest the validity of the immobilization may be scheduled in the municipal court clerk's office during normal business hours as set out in section 35-201.
