§ 35-226. Reckless driving.

  • (a)

    Any person who drives any vehicle in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving.

    (b)

    Upon a first conviction of a violation of this section, a person shall be sentenced to not less than five days nor more than 90 days' imprisonment, fined not less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00, or be subject to both such fine and imprisonment. On a second or subsequent conviction of a violation of this section, a person shall be sentenced to not less than ten days' nor more than six months' imprisonment, fined not less than $50.00 nor more than $500.00, or be subject to both such fine and imprisonment.
