§ 35-470. Failure to comply with traffic citation attached to parked vehicle.

  • If a violator of restrictions on stopping, standing or parking does not respond to a traffic citation affixed to such motor vehicle within a period of ten days from the date of the violation by payment of the fine, by appearance at the traffic violations bureau of municipal court, or by other disposition of the charge, the clerk of the court or the parking control division shall send to the owner of the motor vehicle to which the traffic citation was affixed a letter informing the owner of the violation and warning the owner that in the event such letter is disregarded for a period of ten days, a warrant of arrest may be issued or the vehicle upon which the traffic citation was affixed may be immobilized.
