§ 35-471. Vicarious responsibility.

  • Every person in whose name a vehicle is registered shall be absolutely responsible for violations of any ordinance or regulation regulating the stopping, standing, or parking of vehicles. It shall be no defense to such charge that the vehicle was illegally parked by another unless it is shown that at the time of the violation the vehicle had been stolen and had not been returned to the registered owner.
