Division 1. GENERALLY |
§ 36-29. Delivering stolen goods to a pawnbroker or precious metal dealer.
(a)
Any person selling or pledging property to a pawnbroker or precious metal dealer who uses false or altered identification shall be guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
(b)
Any seller or pledger who gives false declaration of ownership of the pledged property, or property offered for sale, when it is determined that the pledged property is stolen, mortgaged or otherwise pledged or encumbered and the loan amount is under $500.00, shall be guilty of a class A offense.
