§ 36-87. By-bidding, false bidding, etc., prohibited.

At any auction sale held under the provisions of this article, no person shall act or employ another to act as a by-bidder or as what is commonly known as a "booster" or make or accept any false or misleading bid or falsely pretend to buy or sell any article sold or offered for sale at such auction or employ another to do so.
