§ 37-33. Suspension or revocation—Grounds.

  • (a)

    If the license administrator holds a hearing in accordance with section 37-34 a taxicab business license may be suspended for a period not to exceed 90 days for violation of any provision of this article or any regulation properly issued by the license administrator.

    (b)

    If the license administrator holds a hearing in accordance with section 37-34, a taxicab business license may be revoked by the license administrator for any of the following reasons:

    (1)

    A taxicab business licensee has committed three or more acts constituting grounds for a suspension in accordance with subsection (a) of this section within a 12-month period or has operated or allowed another to operate under a suspended taxicab business license.

    (2)

    A taxicab business license was obtained by misrepresentation or fraud including knowingly providing false information concerning matters covered in section 37-18(7), (9), (10) or (11) on the application.

    (c)

    Taxicab business licenses shall be automatically suspended for any period that required insurance is not maintained in accordance with section 27-86.
