§ 37-57. Required.

  • No person shall own or operate or permit to be operated upon the streets of the city any vehicle as a livery vehicle unless the livery vehicle business or the titleholder has first obtained a license issued by the unified government. Such license shall cover all vehicles used as livery vehicles operated by the livery vehicle business or the titleholder. Such license shall be required for the operation of any livery vehicle for which passengers are solicited within the city limits by any means. Taxicabs licensed by the unified government may be used as livery vehicles in the manner provided in section 37-23.
