§ 37-173. Taxicab license name, telephone number and taxicab number to be printed on taxicab.

Every taxicab licensed under the provisions of this chapter, shall have plainly printed
upon the outside of each side and the back of the vehicle the name of the licensee
and the office telephone number, all of which shall be printed in letters at last
four inches in height. In addition, the number assigned to the cab by the licensee
shall be plainly painted on the outside of the vehicle on both sides and the rear
in numerals at least four inches in height. Subject to the existing licensing ordinances
of the unified government, the rear of each taxicab may be utilized for commercial
display advertising providing such advertising in no way obliterates or covers the
matter required in the preceding portion of this section and providing that the size
of the advertising display or sign shall not exceed 1,200 square inches.
