§ 37-177. Taxicab contracts and receipts.

(a)

It shall be lawful to operate the taxicab service pursuant to a prior contract that provides for subsequent billing so long as the trip charge is in accordance with section 37-172.

(b)

Every driver of a taxicab, when requested by a paying passenger, shall give a numbered receipt showing the driver's name, the name of the taxicab company, the license number, the fleet number of the taxicab, the date and the amount of the fare.
