§ 37-189. Driver to display taxicab driver's certificate.

Every taxicab driver shall display and exhibit a driver's certificate to the representative of the licensed taxicab business on duty at the commencement of the driver's tour of duty before such driver is permitted to operate a taxicab on any tour of duty. After a taxicab is assigned to a driver, the driver shall sign a check out sheet giving the driver's name, address and telephone number and the number of the taxicab assigned to that driver.
