§ 8-505. Continuous operation required.

  • Moving any house, building or other structure from one location to another must be a continuous operation until such house, building or other structure is placed in its proper location on the lot to which it is to be moved. No defective mechanical equipment shall be used in the moving of buildings or houses. No house or building being moved shall be parked on public property or private property during the moving operation, except with permission of the proper public officials, in the case of public property, or the property owner, in the case of private property, in which case the house or building being moved may be parked on public or private property during the moving operation for a period not to exceed 24 hours; provided, however, that in the event of inclement weather, the building official, by written permission, may extend the time for a period not to exceed an additional 48 hours.
