§ 9-5. Loans, grants, guarantees, and establishment of accounts.

The unified government may make such loans, grants, and guarantees as necessary and expedient to fulfill the purposes and objectives of this chapter and may establish such accounts in lending institutions in the city, including the establishment of a revolving loan fund as is necessary. Tool banks may be established and material and equipment provided for the purposes of residential rehabilitation. The unified government may accept such mortgages or other security when deemed necessary to protect its financial interests and property.
