§ 108. Voting rotation of the commission.

  • Effective January 1, 2003, the sequence of voting by the unified commission at all regular and special sessions shall be conducted in numerical order of district positions followed by numerical sequence of at-large districts with the mayor voting, if necessary or otherwise authorized thereafter. On the first day of each calendar month thereafter at any regular or special session of the unified commission, the sequence of voting shall be changed so that the commissioner voting first during the previous month shall vote last and each other commissioner shall move forward one position in voting sequence so that every ten months, each commissioner shall be required to vote first one time and shall vote in each and every other position in the voting sequence one time. The mayor or mayor pro tempore, when presiding, shall always vote last.
