§ 410. Sergeant at arms for commission meetings.

  • A member of the unified government law enforcement department shall serve as sergeant at arms for commission meetings:

    a.

    The sergeant at arms shall carry out all orders and instructions given by the presiding officer for the purpose of maintaining order and decorum at commission meetings and shall be held harmless by the unified government for such acts as he or she may perform at the direction of the presiding officer; and

    b.

    The sergeant at arms, upon instructions from the presiding officer, shall remove from the commission meeting room or place under arrest any person who violates the order and decorum of the commission meeting and cause him or her to be prosecuted under the provisions of the appropriate code.
