§ 19-112. Application for license to operate as a private security business.

  • Application for a license to operate as a private security business shall be made to the license administrator. The application shall be signed and verified by the applicant. If the applicant is not an individual, the application shall be signed and verified by a person authorized to act on behalf of the applicant. The application shall include the following:

    (1)

    The name and address of the applicant and, if the applicant is not an individual, the type of entity;

    (2)

    If the applicant is a corporation, the dates and state of incorporation, the date the articles of incorporation were filed with the register of deeds, the location of its principal place of business, the address of all local offices, the address of the registered agent, and the names and addresses of officers and directors;

    (3)

    If the applicant is a partnership, the names and addresses of all general and limited partners, the location of the principal place of business, the address of all local offices, and any beneficial interest of any other person whatsoever;

    (4)

    If the applicant is a joint venture, joint adventure or any type of business where two or more persons have a financial interest in the business, the names and addresses of all persons having a financial interest in or financial benefit from the business;

    (5)

    Whether the applicant or any officer, partner, or employee of the applicant has a record of arrest or conviction;

    (6)

    Whether the applicant or any officer, partner, or employee of the applicant has ever used any aliases or nicknames;

    (7)

    If the applicant is an individual, age, all residences within the last ten years, all occupations for the last ten years, marital status, and social security number;

    (8)

    Whether the applicant, the officers and directors of the applicant, if a corporation, or the partners of the applicant, if a partnership, are citizens of the United States;

    (9)

    A statement as to the general nature of the business in which the applicant intends to engage;

    (10)

    If the submission is by other than a corporation or a partnership, the applicant shall submit two recent photographs and one thumbprint;

    (11)

    If the submission is by a corporation, a copy of the articles of incorporation and bylaws, unless they have been furnished previously and they remain unchanged;

    (12)

    If the applicant is a partnership, a copy of the partnership agreement, unless it has been furnished previously and it remains unchanged.
