§ 19-125. Conditions and duration of private security business license.

(a)

A private security business license shall expire one year from the date of issuance. Such licenses must be renewed 30 days prior to expiration. Upon payment of the license fee, the license administrator shall issue renewal licenses to all license holders whose licenses have not been suspended or revoked.

(b)

Private security business licenses are not transferable.

(c)

Private security business licenses shall be subject to revocation or suspension by the chief of police for violation of any of the provisions of this article or misconduct by the license holder after notice and an opportunity to be heard has been given.

(d)

No business whose license as a private security business has been revoked by the city shall be eligible to obtain a private security business license for a period of two years following the date of revocation.
