§ 22-124. Noise from stationary engines, motors, etc.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for the owner or operator of any stationary engine, automobile engine or motor or any other engine or motor at or near residences within the city to suffer or permit the exhaust pipe of such engine to emit loud and annoying noises at frequent intervals during the day or night. Each owner or operator of such an engine shall provide proper means for the muffling of the noises emitted by the exhaust pipes thereof.

    (b)

    Allowing noise from stationary engines, motors, etc., as described in subsection (a) of this section, is a class C violation.
