§ 31-184. Final grading.

Provisions shall be made to control surface water around the sanitary landfill site and to prevent ponding. The grading of the final surface of the fill area must provide a slope of at least 1½ percent. To prevent erosion, the grading of the final surface of the area shall not exceed a slope of 20 percent. Final soil cover shall be capable of supporting vegetation. The area shall be seeded with a perennial ground cover suitable for the area in which the site is located. Weather permitting, seeding shall be done within 48 hours after completion of final grading. Mulching of areas with easily eroded slopes may be required.
