§ 31-185. Inspection, bond and maintenance after completion.
(a)
An inspection of the entire site shall be made by a representative of the state and local health department before the earthmoving equipment is removed from the site. Any necessary corrective work shall be performed before the landfill project is accepted as completed.
(b)
Arrangements shall be made for the repair of all cracked, eroded and uneven areas in the final cover during the year following completion of the fill.
(c)
To ensure proper repair, a performance bond in an amount determined and approved by the health department shall be filed in the unified government clerk's office. The performance bond shall be checked and approved as to form by the unified government chief legal counsel. The performance bond shall be a minimum of $2,500.00, based on acreage, and shall be posted at the time the permit is issued.
