§ 33-5. General authority of public health department.

(a)

The public health department may promulgate and adopt rules and regulations pertaining to the design, construction, equipping and operation of swimming and wading pools and to establish minimum sanitation and safety standards for the design and equipping of swimming and wading pools.

(b)

The public health department shall have supervision and control over the sanitation, health and safety of swimming and wading pools and shall enforce all rules and regulations promulgated and adopted by the state.
