§ 35-591. Report of violations; issuance of ticket or summons.

  • It shall be the duty of police officers or parking meter officers of the unified government to take the number of each parking meter at which any vehicle is parked in violation of the provisions of this article, to take the state license number of any such vehicle, to note the time at which such vehicle was so parked, to note any other facts which are necessary to a thorough understanding of the circumstances attending such violation, including, if known, the length of time the motor vehicle was so parked and to make complaint for the violation in the municipal court. Each such officer shall leave on such vehicle a ticket or uniform complaint and notice to appear stating the violation.
