§ 36-283. Investigation prerequisite to issuance of scrap metal dealer's registration.

Before any registration shall be issued for any scrap metal dealer, the information contained in the applicant's registration shall be investigated by the public officer to ensure that the registration meets the requirements for registration. The public officer or its designee shall request other city departments to inspect the business premises to ensure compliance with other city ordinances. Any grounds specified in section 36-286 of this article for the revocation of a registration shall be sufficient grounds for the withholding of approval and denial of the registration.
