§ 4-45. General policies of the unified government board of commissioners.

Latest version.
  • (a)

The use of alcohol by children and youth is an especially serious problem, and the unified government will, therefore, give priority consideration to proposed alcohol abuse education and prevention programs affecting children, including, but not limited to, programs operated within the Unified School District 500.

    (b)

Special consideration in the purchase of services will be given to those proposals that are coordinated and integrated with alcohol abuse programs now functioning in this area.

    (c)

Special consideration will be given to countywide or area programs which serve the residents of the city. The advisory committee shall consult with appropriate representatives of the county and with other cities, in this area, to determine whether joint service agreements by two or more cities and counties may be most productive of the public service. To the extent feasible, intragovernmental arrangements shall be coordinated with the county alcohol and drug advisory committee.
