§ 8-581. Review of application for license or permit for external physical change of land or structures.
(a)
No application for a license or permit for external physical change of land or structures which are subject to regulation by ordinance other than single-family dwellings shall be approved by any head of a department or division without first being submitted to the development review committee for recommendation, provided that in the case of single-family structures being built under the public housing program, being moved to a vacant lot, or when the gross floor area of the unit is less than 1,000 square feet, the building inspector, upon receipt of request for a building permit, shall refer the same to the development review committee.
(b)
No application for a permit to erect temporary wireless communications facilities shall be approved by any head of a department or division without first being submitted to the development review committee for approval.
(c)
Subsection (a) of this section does not apply to physical improvements consisting entirely of interior alteration and not affecting the exterior of a structure. Should the committee fail to recommend within 15 days after submission, the application shall be deemed approved by the committee.
(d)
Development review fees shall be set by the county administrator.
