§ 707. Appeal of presiding officers' ruling.
A member may appeal to the board from a ruling of the presiding officer providing such appeal is made immediately following the ruling to be appealed:
a.
If the appeal is seconded, the member making the appeal may briefly state his or her reason for same, and the presiding officer may briefly explain his or her ruling; but there shall be no debate on the appeal and no other member shall participate in the discussion;
b.
The presiding officer shall then put the question, "Shall the decision of the presiding officer be sustained?";
c.
If six of the members present vote, "yea", then the ruling of the presiding officer is sustained, otherwise it is overruled; and
d.
In the event that appeals are sustained by the board against rulings or orders of the presiding officer, the clerk shall record a notice of such appeal and the action taken with an appropriate notation in the minutes of the meeting.
