§ 31-159. Plans and specifications.

(a)

All plans and specifications for sanitary landfills shall be prepared in accordance with the standards herein by a licensed professional engineer. Detailed plans, specifications, and necessary reports shall be submitted by the engineer to the public health department for review and approval.

(b)

The plans and specifications shall include the following background data:

(1)

Present and estimated future contributory population;

(2)

Refuse quantities in weight and volume per capita per day; and

(3)

Ratio of maximum to average day.

(c)

A licensed professional engineer shall sign the plans and specifications and state that the sanitary landfill has been designed in accordance with these standards.
