§ 36-196. Investigation by chief of police prerequisite to issuance.

Before any license shall be issued for any secondhand dealer or junk dealer, the chief of police shall investigate the character and integrity of the applicant. Any grounds specified in section 36-198 for the revocation of a license shall be sufficient grounds for the withholding of approval by the chief of police and denial of the license.
